The decoration on the front of this shoe is square metal with sharp edges that will dig into your toes. There is no fabric between the decoration and your skin. This didn't become apparent until actually dancing in the shoes. Just trying them on and walking gently on a carpeted surface was fine. The shoes themselves are very nice.
